Hi Michael

French was about 35% this week
Im working on my french but another goal I have made is to work harder at my leadership. Mr.D sais he has 'very high standards for me' and I need to work harder on living up to them.
Yesterday, I spent the whole X helping Michael understand the math concepts for geometry because he didnt really understand and he finished 9 concepts in about 45minutes!
Im really happy I was able to help!

Hello parents,

My french this week was like 30% with an improvement over last week.
My goal is to speak more french as I had said in my conferance.
I think I am nice to the grade sixs trying to involve them in the conversation and helping them ith their projects.I think this makes it easier for them to take risks because they feel more comfortable with the grade sevens.
I think that I am a little loud (when i played guitar in class...sorry) and maybe that scares people. I would like to appoligize for this may make people less likely to take risks.

Hello Ismael,

My french this week was very low seeming as we're just getting back into the school year. It was aproximatly 20-25%.
My goal is to speak more french because I may not be contiinuing in french for highschool. If I do go to one of the private schools i have applied to they do have some excelerated french but in truth its the same thing as core french. I have talked to my parents about how im going to keep up my french if I do go to one of these schools and there are various possiblitys but it wont be the same as it is now unfortunatly. I am just so worried about losing my whole second language. that i have spent 7 years learning.
My contribuation to the class this week was doing my table group responsiblity and making sure everyone participated because i think its enfair that sometimes one or two people always do the responsiblity and the others do absolutly nothing!

Hi Damon

There is 4 hours left of school this year.
As the minutes tick away, I reflect on my week:
My french was about 60% this week during the actual french time.
My goal for the next few months is to speak more in french and I hope to really work on that after our nice long break.
I think I participated the most out of everyone in our class for the winter concert. I was the speaker but I think I became more the director of the project. Even though, there were moments when nobody was paying attention of listening to each other I thought everyone was super cooperative. I am so grateful for Seth who was completely in charge of the music and electronic part in which I know nothing about. We had some difficulties but he worked so hard on this project. I'm grateful for Damon and Ruby who both had to talk in the presentation and they were so nice and cooperative with everyone's ideas. The people in my dance group- Damon, Allison, Alex, Michael and Emily who helped me when I had no idea what I was doing. Without these people as well as the rest of the class this would have been literally impossible. I'm so happy about our presentations result because I think its a huge accomplishment for all the people in our class because we created this together, as a team. This really brought us together to make some of our relationships stronger and I got to know some more grade six's that I hadn't really worked with yet. I love our class this year. I feel that we have a special bond between all of us. It's almost an understanding that we will help each other out and catch each other when we fall. It makes everyone feel safe and included. I hope to continue this bond in the new year and i'm already excited for the new challenges and exciting activities to come in January.
I can't wait to see you and everyone in 2014!!
happy holidays

Hi Nadine!

This week,
My french was about 80% french during the specific french times.
My goal for this few is to speak more french and I really think I doing better! I used to be at 30% but I have gone up!
This week I lead the class discoutions for our christmas festival and I think that I am contributing well to that by leading everyone and making sure we are all in line and ready for the Winter festival!
Thanks,

Hi Michael,

My french for this week is better than it has been seeming as I have set it as my goal and am sitting at a table with others who have the same goal.
I would say it was about 70 % during the designated french speaking times.
My goal, as I have mentioned before was to speak more french in class. The reason that I had found it difficult before was that I had a hard time knowing whether or not it was time to be speaking french or not. Some times in X it was unclear but now I understand. Now that I have set it as my goal I think that I will see an improvement.
